Sonic Mal is an experimental audiovisual art group consisting of multimedia artists Silvia Binda, Pablo Gascón and Andrés Moriel. Through their live performances, Sonic Mal challenges the traditional boundaries of sound and video by utilizing real-time generated sound patterns, both analog and digital synthesized sounds, and live-manipulated audio-reactive visuals.

Sonic Mal's projects explore the relationship between image and sound, transcending the conventions of music and visual projection. They employ elements of live cinema and experimental creation processes to challenge established narrative structures.

In their live A/V shows, Silvia, Pablo and Andrés rotate their roles in controlling the sound and visuals. The tools Sonic Mal uses during their performances range from hardware such as analogue and digital synthesizers, vintage media artefacts, musical instruments, and web cameras, to software tools including live coding environments, Ableton Live and Touch Designer.

Sonic Mal has had the opportunity to perform at various festivals and venues in Spain, such as VOLUMENS Festival, MevArt Festival, The Noox, Sporting Club Russafa, CCCC, Veles y Vents and La Fábrica de Hielo, solidifying their position as a prominent experimental audiovisual and sound art group.
